“Gold, bitches” or “gold, bitchez”  was popularized by the financial blog Zero Hedge. “Gold, Bitches - $1,200” was a post on December 1, 2009. Cafe Press has sold a “gold, bitches” thermos for Zero Hedge since October 14, 2010. “Gold bitchez” has been cited in print since at least February 2010 and “Silver, Bitchez!” since at least May 2010.
 
The catchphrase means that the speaker has bought physical gold or silver and is not is not playing financial games with fiat money that is printed out of nothing. “Gold, bitches” appears to have been cited in print since at least July 2006 and “gold, bitchez” since at least December 2007, but the citations were few before Zero Hedge popularized the catchphrase in 2009.
