“Watch out for the idiot behind me” (bumper sticker)

“Watch out for the idiot behind me” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many bumper stickers. “WATCH OUT FOR THE IDIOT BEHIND ME” was printed in the Toronto (ON) Star on October 23, 1989.

A bumper sticker reading ‘Watch out for the idiot behind me’ makes a fool of the reader, since the reader is likely the ‘idiot’ behind the vehicle.
