“Vegetaryan” (vegetarian + Aryan) is a portmanteau word that has been used in several jokes. “Is that because Franz (Liszt—ed.) was a vegetARYAN?” was posted on the newsgroup bit.listserv.allmusic on December 3, 1992. “Hitler was a vegetAryan, though” was posted on the newsgroup alt.exploding.kibo on October 13, 1999.
 
“Did you know Hitler didn’t like to eat meat? He was a vegetaryan” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on November 17, 2011. “What do you call a Neo-Nazi who only eats vegetables? A vegetaryan lol” was posted on Twitter on May 12, 2015.
 
A riddle was posted on Reddit—Jokes on March 4, 2018:
 
Q: What do you call a skinhead that doesn’t eat meat?
A: A vegetaryan.
