“Florida—Land of Good Living”

“Land of Good Living” was a short-lived Florida slogan of the 1950s.

Florida, Guam and New Jersey took top honors for the outstanding floats in the Inaugural Parade, Leon Chatelain Jr., president of the National Association of Architects and chairman of the judges’ committee, announced last night.
 
Florida’s flower-bedecked, multi-colored float depicting the “Land of Good Living,” was picked for the best over-all design.
