Crapweasel (Crap Weasel)

“Crapweasel” (or “crap weasel”) was coined on an episode of the television sitcom Friends that aired on November 3, 1994:

Ross: So you do know a little English.
Paolo: Poco… a little.
Ross: Do you know the word, ‘crapweasel’?
Paolo: No.
Ross: That’s funny, ‘cause you are a
huge crapweasel!

“Crapweasel” is a compound of the words “crap” and “weasel” (defined by Merriam-Webster as “a sneaky, untrustworthy, or insincere person”). The term “crapweasel” was applied to politics in the 2000s and has been frequently used by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin. Theodore Roosevelt popularized the term “weasel words” in 1916, and “weasel” had been used in politics long before the stronger derogatory term of “crapweasel.”
