NYC & Company (formerly the New York Convention and Visitors Bureau) has hosted a "CultureFest" since 2001. Many organizations have participated.

The fifth annual CultureFest 2005 takes place on Saturday & Sunday, September 24-25, in Battery Park features the complete range of New York City's diverse arts community from all five boroughs in one place, at one time.

110 of New York City's arts organizations will showcase their new exhibitions, programs, performances and plans for the upcoming year at this weekend-long event. CultureFest takes place in Lower Manhattan's historic Battery Park, complete with unforgettable views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Hudson River, with two stages of non-stop performers and a park full of exhibits and activities for adults and children.

The Merrill Lynch "Kids Run the World" Dash at CultureFest on Sunday, Sept. 25th, at 3:00 PM offers 3-6 year-old children an opportunity to participate in a mini "fun-run" with special pre-race warm up surprises!
