“Manhattan—The Heart of the Big Apple”
On the website of the current Manhattan Borough President is a drawing of an apple. A heart is cut into the apple.

"Manhattan--The Heart of the Big Apple" is just below the illustration.

Considering all that I've been through over 13 years, without a single response from the Manhattan Borough President, it seems like a cruel joke.

Again, I have re-submitted the work that I provided before Ruth Messinger, now to C. Virginia Fields. Maybe she'll have the heart to help me finally honor the African American "Big Apple" stablehand for the next Big Apple Fest. Maybe I'll get a single kind word. Or will she, as Manhattan Borough Presidents tend to do, do nothing?
