Seguin ( /səˈɡiːn/) is a city in Guadalupe County, Texas, in the United States. It is part of the San Antonio-New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 22,011; the July 1, 2009 Census estimate, however, showed the population had increased to 26,842. It is the county seat of Guadalupe County.

There has not been one dollar that has been thus spent but will be to the profit of Seguin in the days that are to come. Former Seguinite in Tokyo as disaster struck

TOKYO - The earthquake that rocked Japan and has left more than 7,000 dead was felt by a former Seguin resident.
Damian Pascar, a 1994 Seguin High School grad, and his wife Sakura live about 250 miles south of where the earthquake started and the tsunami hit.
