“A guy walks into a bar…”  is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A popular version involving a horse is:
 
“A horse walks into a bar and the barman says, ‘Why the long face?’”
 
“a chia pet walks into a bar and the bartender says, ‘hey there, why the lawn face?’ #badumting” was posted on Twitter by molly choma on January 9, 2011. “A chi-chi-chi-chia walks into a bar and the bartender says, ‘hey, why the lawn face?’” was posted on Twitter by FRED NIX later on January 9, 2011.
 
“A piece of sod walks into a bar. Bartender says, ‘Why the lawn face?’” was posted on Twitter by Khal Logo on November 20, 2012. “A piece of turf walks into a bar. Bartender says, ‘Why the lawn face?’” was posted on Twitter by Corey Glynn on September 18, 2015.

He has bushy eyebrows” was posted on Twitter by Premium Bland on January 14, 2015. “When you see a sad landscaper, it’s your duty to ask them, ‘why the lawn face?’” was posted on Twitter by llehctim lahtnesor on January 24, 2015.
