“Did you hear about the new Chinese cookbook? ‘101 Ways to Wok Your Dog’”

“Did you hear about the new Chinese cookbook? ‘101 Ways to Wok Your Dog’” is a cooking joke that has been printed on several images. “Wok” (a cooking vessel) sounds like “walk,” and the joke is that some people in Asia eat dogs.

“The latest Far Eastern cookbook, ‘101 Ways To Wok Your Dog’” was printed in a January 1982 newspaper. “Have you heard about the new Chinese cookbook? 101 Ways to Wok Your Dog” was printed in a December 1982 newspaper.

“I found stir fry all over my bed this morning. I must have been sleep wokking again,” “What do you call a zombie who stir fries?”/“Dead Man Wokking” and “Why is stir fry never cooked on the ocean?”/“Because everyone knows you can’t wok on water” are other “wok” jokes.

Wikipedia: Wok
A wok (from Cantonese Chinese: 鑊), Original: KWO (from Beijinese, Mandarin Chinese: 鑊) is a versatile round-bottomed cooking vessel, originating from China. The use of the wok is very prevalent in South China (particularly Guangdong Province). It is one of the most common cooking utensils in China and also found in parts of East, South and Southeast Asia, as well as becoming a popular niche cookware in all the world.

Woks are used in a range of different Chinese cooking techniques, including stir frying, steaming, pan frying, deep frying, poaching, boiling, braising, searing, stewing, making soup, smoking and roasting nuts.
