“Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn” is an inspirational saying that has been printed on many images. “Your day goes the way the corners of your mouth turn” was printed in The Morning Herald (Uniontown, PA) on May 25, 1955. “Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn—Jimmy Townsend, Pickens Co. Progress” was printed in the Atlanta (GA) Constitution on July 31, 1974.
 
Authorship is unknown. “Your day goes the way the corners of your mouth turn. So smile” was the caption on a Family Circus comic strip published in many newspapers on November 17, 2008.
