“We don’t skinny dip. We chunky dunk”

“We don’t skinny dip. We chunky dunk” (or “I don’t skinny dip. I chunky dunk”) is a saying that has been printed on many images.

“Speaking of same, Jeri Sulley spotted a substantial woman jogging past in a T-shirt that confessed ‘I Don’t Skinny Dip. I Chunky Dunk.’ Go ahead, groan, but some historian will be fascinated to read this 100 years from today” was printed in Herb Caen’s column in the San Francisco (CA) Chronicle on June 4, 1986. Historians are fascinated, since the expression appears to have reached popularity only in the early 2000s.

“Let’s be honest. Most people going skinny dipping are really just going dipping” is a related saying.
