“Borders, language, culture”

“Borders, language, (and) culture” is the catchphrase of conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage. Savage believes that a nation is defined by these three things. “Borders, language and culture” has been cited in print since at least 1998.

The catchphrase appeared in the title of Michael Savage’s bestselling book, The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on our Borders, Language, and Culture (2002).

Michael Savage (born Michael Alan Weiner; March 31, 1942) is an American radio host, author and political commentator. He is the host of The Savage Nation, a nationally syndicated talk show that aired on Talk Radio Network across the United States. By 2009 The Savage Nationhad an audience of 8 to 10 million listeners on 400 stations across the United States, making it the second most listened-to radio talk show in the country at the time. Beginning October 23, 2012, after several weeks off the air, Michael Savage returned through a new syndicator, Cumulus Media Networks. By April 2013, according to the radio industry’s Talkers Magazine, he had 3.5+ million weekly listeners, putting him in a six-way tie for sixth place, and six talk show hosts getting 7.5+ million weekly listeners. He holds master’s degrees from the University of Hawaii in medical botany and medical anthropology and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in nutritional ethnomedicine. As Michael Weiner, he has written books on herbal medicine and homeopathy; as Michael Savage, he has written four political books that have reached the New York Times Best Seller List.

One of Mazzoni’s challengers is Russ Weiner. This buttoned-down 28-year-old travel consultant/events producer is a Sausalito resident and a staunch Republican. He is co-founder of the 4,000-member Paul Revere Society—a conservative educational and fraternal organization “to preserve the borders, language, and culture of America,” which he created two years ago with his father, conservative KSFO talk- show host Michael Savage. Weiner is against bilingual education and supports the idea of “one nation, one language.” He opposes reducing the simple minority vote needed to approve school bonds. Weiner is also against recent legislative efforts to ban assault weapons.

Is a nation defined by its borders, language, and culture?
Basically, do you agree with the following statement?

A nation is defined by its borders, language and culture.

Borders, meaning we need to secure our boarders. Our official language should be English. Our culture is entrenched in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
