Check Pants Republican (Check Pants Conservative)

A “Check Pants Republican” (or “Check Pants Conservative”) is a Republican/Conservative who wears check pants. The term is similar in meaning to “Country Club Republican” and similar in form to “Birkenstock Liberal.” A “Check Pants Republican” cuts deals with the establishment and enjoys playing golf at the country club.

Conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage has said that he coined “Check Pants Republican” in the mid-1990s. “Since we have a Democrat in Republican clothing the check pants Republicans will go along like the sheep they are” was cited in print in 2004.

At least if one of the Democrats win the Republicans will pretend that they care about conservative issues again. If a Democrat were president half of this crap wouldn’t be going on and wouldn’t be spending like a drunken sailor. Since we have a Democrat in Republican clothing the check pants Republicans will go along like the sheep they are.

Why Michael Savage Has Lost Him For Good

On Tuesday I made a momentous decision. After listening to Michael Savage for more than 10 years, first as a rising local talk show star and more recently nationally, I decided I have had enough: enough Rush bashing, enough O’Reilly bashing, enough Bush bashing, and enough “check pants” Republican bashing, supported by nothing but jealousy and contempt.

Free Republic
I was thinking of giving McCain the benefit of the doubt, but the more I see Bush’s face on FOX giving us a bad luck penny in his pathetic endorsement of McCain without actually endorsing McCain, and I can see right through it, that the message from this loser and a bunch of white haired check pants Republican “moderates” who want open borders and cheap labor for their big corporate and Agra businesses who I now seeing standing behind some McCain operative, the more I look at the fake smiles and phony white teeth of these pathetic old school get along to get along big spending Republicans who along with Bush destroyed the Republican majority in the name of Amnesty for illegal aliens, the more I am taken back.

FOX just had some very ugly old woman, some woman who would gladly trade in her Harry Truman old lady’s dress for a white haired old school open borders check pants Republican pair of threads, telling us all how the real message of all of this is that conservatives have no power, that America and fellow Republicans have rejected the conservatives, the same messaging that is coming now from Bush that actually we all DO want open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens and all Republicans agree.

That’s most likely the reason Savage would say good things about Cain.
He would probably call Perry a “check-pants Republican”, i.e. country club, Wall St, establishment candidate.
