Cosmoquila (cocktail)

A Cosmoquila cocktail is a Cosmopolitan cocktail with tequila instead of vodka. The Cosmoquila cocktail is cited in print since 2000 and has been promoted by the Casa Noble Tequila Company.

Other ingredients in the Cosmoquila are usually Cointreau, lime juice, cranberry juice and ice. Casa Noble’s Signature Drinks web page omits cranberry juice, making the cocktail less like a Cosmopolitan and more like a Margarita cocktail.

Aggie Punch also contains tequila, lime juice and apple-cranberry juice, but does not contain Cointreau.

Wikipedia: Casa Noble
Casa Noble is a brand of premium 100% blue agave tequila produced by the Casa Noble Tequila Company, and distributed in the United States and Canada by Wilson Daniels, Ltd. The tequila is made from estate-grown agaves cooked in traditional stone ovens; these are naturally fermented and distilled three times.Casa Noble Reposado and Añejo are aged in White French Oak.

Casa Noble has been the winner of many accolades including “double gold winner” of the San Francisco World Spirit Competition, “best tequila” by Testing Institute in Chicago and “best tequila” in Mexico by Academia Mexicana del Tequila.[citation needed]

History
The Casa Noble Tequila Company started as a tequila producer in the late 1700’s in the region of Tequila, Jalisco. By 1800, it had a daily production capacity of 10 barrels per day. Today, the distillery remains outside the town of Tequila; its current owners are Carlos Hernandez Ramos, Jose Hermosillo Brooks, and David Ravandi.
