While we may not know the answer for all parts of NYC, we have a pretty good idea of what hip DUMBOites are tipping this year, based on the above memo from Two Trees management sent our way by a Curbed tipster.

You might want to reconsider walking down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park at sunset considering the crowd will be backed up all the way to your front door at 70 Washington. Its a bit like riding the subway at rush hour, only darker. Its the only time of year the Dumbowhites, I’m sorry, I meant Dumboites, get to hobnob with the Farragut neighbors.

That could change very soon. The USPS has been looking for space to set up shop, and soon, DUMBO-ites (DUMBOers? DUMBOnions? Or just plain DUMBOs?) will be able to buy stamps, weigh packages, and do all those other postal things that currently require schlepping up a big hill to the main post office on Cadman Plaza East.

Good news for us DUMBOites, they’re opening a postal substation on Washington Street… No more hoping the truck is there!
