"EBT” stands for “Electronic Benefit Transfer.” Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—still commonly called “food stamps”—is one benefit on many EBT cards.
“EBT” has been given the backronymic (back acronym) nickname of “Eat Better Today” since at least 2004; eatbettertoday.com is the website for Rhode Island SNAP information. “EBT” has been called “Eat Better Tonight” since at least 2006 and “Eat Better Tomorrow” since at least 2009.
Wikipedia: Electronic Benefit Transfer
Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) is an electronic system that allows state welfare departments to issue benefits via a magnetically encoded payment card, used in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Common benefits provided (in the United States) via EBT are typically of two general categories: food and cash benefits. Food benefits are federally authorized benefits that can be used only to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food benefits are distributed through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly the Food Stamp Program. Cash benefits include state general assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits and refugee benefits.

food stamps is a god
but what does EBT stand for....
i think that me and ammie decided that it stands for....lol
‘eat better today’
Acronym “Eat Better Tonight”. Actually stands for “Electronic Benefits Transfer”, which is the current method of distributing food stamp benefits. Many “EBT” cardholders are often seen purchasing high end food items like live seafood, high grade cuts of meat, etc.
I saw a couple in the market using their “EBT” card to purchase live Maine lobsters. I guess they’ll “eat better tonight”. Sad to see how my tax dollars are being spent.

IF, and i repeat again, IF....all that is written is true, what a poor excuse for a human being. IF, i repeat again, IF all her children have been a result of fertility treatement, shame on all the doctors involved and on this woman for being so selfish and unethical. There is clearly something wrong with this woman. All of the children will suffer because they will all be robbed of time and love that each of them deserve from a mother. My question is WHY, WHY would she go to these extremes… IF there is no father involved, How can she afford all of these kids on her own? Why place the burden on her parents? OR are we all paying for this. No doubt she will be shopping with her EBT card....Eat Better Today, Eat Better Tonight and Eat Better Tomorrow Card. I think this is all about money...just like her friend that would not provide further info unless she got paid… wow...what a shame.
