“Faith makes all things possible; Love makes all things easy; Hope makes all things work” is a saying that has been printed on many posters. “Faith makes all things possible, and love makes them easy” was cited in The Salt-cellars: Being a Collection of Proverbs, Together with Homely Notes Thereon (1889) by Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
 
American evangelist and publisher Dwight L. Moody (1837-1899) is often credited with the saying. “While faith makes all things possible, love makes all things easy” was published in “Nuggets From Mr. Moody’s Bible” from August 1893. “Faith makes all things possible; Love makes all things easy” was published in Moody’s book Notes from My Bible: From Genesis to Revelation (1895).
 
Rev. William Henry Griffith Thomas added a third line about “hope” in Grace and Power: Some Aspects of the Spiritual Life (1916):
 
“I once heard a friend say, ‘Faith makes all things possible, and love makes all things easy.’ I would venture to add that hope makes all things bright.”
 
“HOPE makes all things work” was cited in 1998. “Love makes all things beautiful” was cited in 2005.
