"Food tastes better when cooked outdoors” is a popular saying of with no specific authorship. “Everything tastes better cooked outdoors!” was cited in print in 1941. “Every Scout knows that good food tastes better cooked outdoors” was cited in 1949. “Food tastes better when it’s cooked outdoors” was cited in 1953.

“Meat tastes better cooked outdoors” was cited in print in 1956 in an advertisement for a barbecue ensemble.
