"Foodieotical” (foodie + periodical) was coined in April 2012 by the first annual Food Book Fair, held in Brooklyn. “Foodieoticals” celebrated food magazines—especially those from small, independent publishers. The “foodieoticals” term has been used each year by the Food Book Fair.
