“How do you cook a crocodile?”/“In a ‘croc’ pot.”

Crockpots aren’t for cooking crocodiles, but there are jokes. “JOHN ESTES wondering if alligator is cooked in a ‘croc pot’” was printed in the Hanford (CA) Sentinel on November 23, 1994. “Q:  How do you cook an alligator? A:  In a ‘croc’ pot” was posted on the newsgroup rec.food.cooking on July 21, 2000.

“How do you cook a crocodile? In a Croc-Pot” was printed in the book Fur, Feathers, and Fun!: A Book of Animal Jokes (2006) by Mark Ziegler.

Some versions have the crocodile cooking—rather than being cooked—in the “croc” pot.

Wikipedia: Slow cooker
A slow cooker, also known as a crock-pot (after a trademark owned by Sunbeam Products but sometimes used generically in Australia, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States), is a countertop electrical cooking appliance used to simmer at a lower temperature than other cooking methods, such as baking, boiling, and frying.[1] This facilitates unattended cooking for many hours of dishes that would otherwise be boiled: pot roast, soups, stews and other dishes (including beverages, desserts and dips).
