“I consider page 2 of Google results the dark web”

What is the dark web? It’s a mysterious part of the web that is not indexed. However, to many, the dark web is Google search page two (where they never go).

“I suspect ‘the dark web’ is actually just everything on page two or later of the Google search results page” was posted on Twitter by “i’ve been darker” on November 12, 2015. “I thought the dark web was Google page 2” was posted on Twitter by Staedtler on November 14, 2013.

Wikipedia: Dark web
The dark web is the World Wide Web content that exists on darknets, overlay networks that use the Internet but require specific software, configurations, or authorization to access. The dark web forms a small part of the deep web, the part of the Web not indexed by web search engines, although sometimes the term deep web is mistakenly used to refer specifically to the dark web.

Google Page Two
About
Google Page Two
refers to a series of memes which compare search results found on the first and second pages of Google in a humorous fashion, often by imagining things found past the first page of results being akin to the dark web content. The format gained significant spread in mainstream meme communities on Reddit in mid-September 2019.
