Led Robster or Lead Robster (Red Lobster nickname)

Red Lobster seafood restaurant was founded in Lakeland, Florida, in 1968. The spoonerism of the Red Lobster name—“Led Robster” or “Lead Robster”—has been cited in print since at least 1994.

Wikipedia: Red Lobster
Red Lobster is an American casual dining restaurant chain that is owned and operated by Darden Restaurants, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, Florida. The company also has operations in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan. As of May 29, 2011, there are 698 Red Lobster locations worldwide.

History
Red Lobster was founded in 1968 by entrepreneurs Bill Darden and Charley Woodsby. Originally billed as a “Harbor for Seafood Lovers”, the first restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, was followed by several others throughout the southeast. In 1970, General Mills acquired Red Lobster as a five-unit company. With new backing, the chain expanded rapidly in the 1980s.

Most people I know say “Busway” for the sandwich shop and “Led Robster” for the cheap seafood place.

Summary
I accepted their invitation to “loo dunch,” and now I’m sitting with Hamer and Betty Jo Reiser at the “Led Robster,” debating between the “crimp” or the “shrab” and wondering when the “bot and huttered” rolls are going to show up.

And my all-time favorite:
Lead Robster - Red Lobster (That’s what my son called it when he was little.) In retrospect, it’s accurate. They load you down with biscuits and bad seafood, then they rob you for it.
