Libnut (liberal + nut)

"Libnut” (liberal + nut) uses the old slang term of “nut,” meaning someone who is crazy. The epithet “libnut” (sometimes written as “Libnut” or “LibNut") has been cited in print since at least 1995, but has been more frequently used since about 2009.
