“MOM stands for Mother, not Made Of Money”

“MOM stands for Mother, not Made Of Money” is a jocular line that has been printed on many gift items, such as T-shirts, bumper stickers and posters. “MOM stands for Mother, not Made of Money” has been cited in print since at least 2005.

On the freezer section, I have a white board calendar that I keep going for a 4 week period (currently only December, soon will be current December and January) plus a few magnets with doctor appointments and my property management phone numbers. Refrigerator portion has a few more magnets holding the weekly menu, upcoming events for the boys, a newspaper clipping that I liked, etc. Side of the refrigerator has a long magnetic strip with hooks to hold my oven mitts and a sign that says “MOM stands for Mother, not Made of Money” and three separate religious school calendars (Teen School for Alex, Midrasha for Michael and regular religious school since Alex is a TA on Mondays).

Mom: Do you think I’m made of money?
