“Put the fun between your legs” (cycling saying)

“Put some/something/the fun between your legs” is a cycling saying that has been printed on many images. “Put something fun between your legs” was printed in a 1972 newspaper, when it referred to a Yamaha motorcycle. “Put Some Fun Between Your Legs (this shirt includes a likeness of a racing bicycle)” was printed in a 1977 newspaper.
 
“Put the fun between your legs!”: The Politics and Counterculture of the Bicycle was the title of a 2005 Ph.D. thesis by Zachary Mooradian Furness.
   
 
18 June 1972, San Antonio (TX) Express, pg. 58, col. 8 classified ad:
