Re-Re-Elect (third term election)

A politician is sometimes “elected” to a first term in office, “re-elected” to a second term, and “re-re-elected” to a third time. New York City’s two-term mayor Michael Bloomberg overturned the term limit laws in 2008, paving the way for him to be “re-re-elected” to a third term as New York City mayor in 2009.

A fourth term in office might be a “re-re-re-election,” and so on.

Voters Be Damned: A “Benevolent” Dictator In The Making

He can’t legally run again. So he cons the city council into telling the voters to feck off and they capitulate, and change the city charter against the twice-expressed wishes of the voters, and he is running again. This time he sees a different way to get “re-re-elected”, so he changes his party affliation again, this time to Independent so he can get the endorsement, sanction, of both parties who will have weak candidates because they can’t go up against his personal millions. Now he is the savior of all mankind, at least in his own mind.

Mike Bloomberg has no shame.

Maybe the mail will run better if Bloomberg is re-re-elected.

Most pols insist on running the sword through themselves every time the opportunity presents itself.  They’re weird that way.  That’s the main type that gets elected and re-elected and re-re-elected ad infinitum, because the people have been so dumbed-down (via the Government-owned-and-run skools) over the past 45 years, they don’t know their head from a hole-in-the-ground and don’t recognize a principled, honorable man (or woman) who sincerely believes in limited Government any longer.
