“Seven days without pizza makes one weak”

“Seven days without pizza makes one weak” is a saying that has appeared on T-shirts and bumper stickers and in pizza parlor advertisements since at least 1972. In 1924, J. W. Snodgrass remarked: “Seven days without food makes one weak.” In the 1950s, many churches posted: “Seven days without prayer/worship/God makes one weak.”

Other variants (mostly food-related) include “Seven days without fried chicken makes one weak” (since 1969), “Seven days without a burger makes one weak” (since 1970), “Seven days without milk makes one weak” (since 1976), “Seven days without a funnel cake makes one weak” (since 1987), “Seven days without crawfish makes one weak” (since 1990) and “Seven days without exercise makes one weak” (since 2000).
