“Spokes-hack” or “spokeshack” (spokesman/spokesperson + hack) is a term used by those who believe that a spokesperson is making nonsensical, overly subservient points. The “spokes-hack” term is often directed at the White House Press Secretary, the spokesperson for the executive branch of government.
 
“Spokes-hack” has been cited in print since at least 2002. Other nicknames for a spokesman/spokesperson include “spokeshole,” “spokes-idiot,” “spokes-liar” and “spokes-tool.”

Hey! Here’s the funniest thing I’ve heard this week. Agency.com, which sparked an industry-wide debate by posting its Subway pitch video on YouTube late last month, has pulled out of the review for the restaurant chain’s interactive assignment. A spokes-hack for the agency said it withdrew from consideration when it reached the finals of a pitch for a conflicting account, which he declined to name.
