“Success always occurs in private and failure in full view”

“Success always occurs in private and failure in full view” is a jocular saying that has been printed on posters.“Success always occurs in private. Failure always occurs in full view of the public” was cited in Another Treasury of Clean Jokes (1983) by Tal D. Bonham.

The saying has been called both “Loser’s Law” and “Lowe’s Law.” “Loser’s Law: Success always occurs in private and failure in full public view” was cited in a November 1983 newspaper under the title “More Murphy’s Law.” “Lowe’s Law: Success always occurs in private, and failure in full public view” was cited in The Complete Murphy’s Law: A Definitive Collection (1990) by Arthur Bloch.
