“Animals are here with us, not for us” is a vegan slogan that has been printed on many images. “Mankind must change its thinking—animals are here with us, not for us!” was printed in The Province (Vancouver, BC), in a letter written by Janice Yelland on April 19, 1995.
     
“I like to think that other animals are here *with* us, not *for* us” was posted on Twitter by tracy krupitzer on November 10, 2009. “Animals - I saw a lady today wearing a shirt that said ‘Animals are here with us, not for us’” was posted on Twitter by Jay Janicki on April 20, 2011. Authorship of the saying is unknown.
