“You are your child’s first teacher”

"You are your child’s first teacher” is a saying that emphasizes the parents’ role in education. The saying was popularized as the title of a bestselling book, You Are Your Child’s First Teacher: What parents can do with and for their children from birth to age six (1989) by Rahima Baldwin Dancy.

“You are your child’s first teacher” has been cited in print since at least 1956.

I could not be more agree with Rahima Baldwin Dancy when this author says: “You are your child’s first teacher”.

Many children who have difficulties in life are children with missing parents…

I agree with you. Our home is the first school of our child with the our parents as the first teachers.
