“How come you never hear someone say ‘I’m not skinny… I’m just small boned’?” was posted on Twitter on July 6, 2009. “You never hear skinny people saying, ‘I’m just small boned’” was posted on Twitter by Rex Huppke on February 6, 2010, and the expression quickly became popular.
