“It’s a Texas Thing” (“It’s a Texas Thang”)

“It’s a Texas thing” (or “It’s a Texas thang”) became popular in the 1990s, when the phrase appeared on T-shirts. Doug Moreland’s song “Texas Thing” is from 1999, and Gary P. Nunn’s album “It’s Texas Thing” is from 2000. Pabst Brewing (Lone Star Beer’s parent company) trademarked the phrase “It’s a Texas Thing” in 2000.

Hold it, do you think I would be such a narcissistic egomaniac to create a group after myself?  Fans are for people like Koresh and Woody - it’s a Texas thing, you know - not for a poor celibate Archbishop.

> see? i guess its a Texas thing huh?

Hee hee, several years ago, when we lived in Vegas, we visited San Antonio on vacation.  I bought a t-shirt that on the back said, “It’s a Texas Thang, Y’all Wouldn’t Understand”  :oD That was my fav shirt for a long time!  :oD
