Bronx Toilet (Yankee Stadium)
Yankee Stadium has been called "the Bronx Toilet" by Boston Red Sox fans. A new Yankee Stadium has been planned next to the current one.

One post below states that the Bronx Cineplex has been called the Bronx Terlit ("toilet").

Other Yankee Stadium nicknames include "Big Ball Orchard in the South Bronx," "Bronx Bandbox," "Cathedral of Baseball," "Coors Field East," "Home Office of Baseball," "Launching Pad" and “The House That Ruth Built.”

Wikipedia: Yankee Stadium (1923)
The original Yankee Stadium was a stadium located in the Bronx in New York City. It was the home ballpark of the New York Yankees, one of the city's Major League Baseball franchises, from 1923 to 2008, except for 1974–1975 when the stadium was renovated. It hosted 6,581 Yankees regular season home games during its 85-year history. It was also the home of the New York Giants National Football League (NFL) team from 1956 through September 1973. The stadium's nickname, "The House That Ruth Built", is derived from Babe Ruth, the baseball superstar whose prime years coincided with the stadium's opening and the beginning of the Yankees' winning history. It has often been referred to as "The Cathedral of Baseball".

Its extreme popularity has perked Hollywood's interest. They have recently released a dubbed version of an academy award winning movie at the Bronx Cineplex, nicknamed "Da Bronze Ter Lit" (The Bronx Toilet).

Sox fans don't know how to act when they're winning? No different than the shit they receive in the Bronx toilet.

And that has what to do with Yankee Stadium being a filthy hole? It's a crappy place to see a game and the 'Toilet' comparison is apt. I don't think it's a big deal if people feel that way.

To other posters using the word toilet with regard to Yankee Stadium or whatever, without the Yankees, the Red Sox and baseball wouldn't be at all the same. The Yankees need the Red Sox too. Off the soapbox.

Interesting tidbit of the day: the Tampa Bay Devil Rays have a winning record in only one ballpark this season, and it isn't their home one (where they are 18-18). It's Yankee Stadium. The Rays improved to 7-3 against the Bronx Bombers on the season, 4-2 at the Bronx Toilet Seat.

Pedro threw the ball like it owed him. Few things were more satisfying than to see Senor Martinez whiff a Yankee to end an inning, immediately followed either by the roar of the Fenway faithful or by dead silence in the Bronx toilet.

It's called the Houston effect. They just keep coming at em. Leading every inning, being no hit in the Bronx toilet. Swept here. They know. Boone knows. Dusty and the vets here know. You can see it in their faces and motions.
