“If a barbecue place has a drive-through, it probably isn’t good”

“If a barbecue place has a drive-through, it probably isn’t good/authentic” is a barbecue saying that probably can’t be dated. Barbecue celebrates “low and slow” cooking, which is the opposite of fast food.

However, many barbecue restaurants have added a drive-through and many people don’t think any less of the food.

The old saying goes “If a BBQ place has a drive thru…it probably isn’t good.” When I pulled in to Millers I saw that it had a drive thru and almost pulled out, but I figured I would give it a try.

A very good local store that even has a drive-thru! ‘A drive-thru at a barbecue restaurant?!’ you might say. Yes. Believe it. It never takes more than five minutes sitting at the window before I get my food and I am free to enjoy their creation at a place of my choosing, although I personally love sitting on the patio.

Yeah, if it has a drive-through, I wouldn’t really call it authentic barbecue :(
