Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Fort Worth and Denton calls itself “Home of the Original Fish Taco.” Fuzzy’s is open late and is a favorite hangout for students at Texas Christian University, but its slogan is something that TCU might not approve. The name “Fuzzy’s Taco” pushes the envelope of sexual slang, but there’s also the Fuzzy’s T-shirt with this slogan: “If it looks like a taco, and smells like a fish, it’s got to be a tasty dish! Eat me!”
 
The line “looks like a taco, smells like a fish” appears (undated) in the audience participation script for the movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).

No, but chances are good it’s a taco.  I don’t know how that’s relevant, but I’ve always said “If it looks like a taco and smells like fish - Eat it!”  Actually, I’ve never really said that, but I read it someplace.  Or words to that effect.

Ah—Fuzzy’s Tacos is within walking distance & it’s fabulous. I like every single thing they do with shrimp. They have a rather off-color tagline which I tell myself is really a very positive message (If it looks like a taco and smells like a fish, eat it), but the food is great & they are great about remembering that I like extra cilantro.

There is another place in FTW where the taco’s are great but the T-shirts are better.

Why is it, at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, when I request garlic sauce, they get all snarky and insist that garlic sauce is a GIVEN on their tacos - you don’t have to request it… and yet, the reason I always request it is because they always forget to put it on! (Have you ever had a Fuzzy’s Taco? Despite the disgusting innuendo in their name and slogan (“If it looks like a taco and smells like a fish, it must be a tasty dish” - they’re famous for their fish tacos. Ahem.).... despite all that, I love the place and can’t get enough! Tempura Shrimp Tacos are the BEST. I turned Michael on to them today, and he was a happy boy.
