Mount Morris Park (formerly Marcus Garvey Park) will host the 33rd Annual Skyscraper-Harlem Cycling Classic. The event gives local community members the unique opportunity to participate in a race and also catch world-class cyclists in action. Regarded as one of the most competitive cycling events in the nation, the Classic is New York City's oldest criterium race (a multi-lap race on a closed course with laps typically shorter than one mile). This year's Father's Day cycling celebration will also serve as the 2006 New York State Criterium Championship. The Classic will feature races in the following categories: Juniors, Masters, Women and Professional. Winners of the professional race will be awarded with the prestigious Mayor's Brotherhood Trophy. Community races for kids and adults will commence at 12:00pm.

The 32nd Annual Skyscraper Harlem Cycling Classic is New York City's oldest criterium.

There are seven citizen races (ages 10 & up), followed by four races for USCF licensed riders and the 35-mile Skyscraper-Harlem Cycling Classic. Bring the whole family for a day of racing!

Citizen events start at 12 noon.

The race is around the Marcus Garvey (Mt. Morris) Park located at 120-124 Streets between Madison and 5th Avenues in Manhattan.

Start/Finish line: 121st Street and Fifth Avenue.

Flat, four corner, 1 mile criterium.
