Texas French Toast

“Texas French Toast” has nothing to do with Paris, Texas. It’s simply a piece ofTexas Toast used in making French toast. “Texas French Toast” has been around since at least the early 1980s.

Ingredients
3 large eggs
6 Tbsp (90mL) low–fat (1%) milk
1 vanilla bean, pulp removed
1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
Nonstick cooking spray
4 slices white bread, thick–cut

Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla bean, and cinnamon.
Spray a nonstick pan with cooking spray, and heat it over the stove on medium.
Dip the bread slices into the egg batter and place them in the pan. Cook one side until golden brown, then turn the slices over and cook the remaining side until golden brown.

Texas French Toast

Ingredients:
3 eggs
¨ö cup milk (Illegible website?—ed.)
¨ù teaspoon cinnamon
¨û teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon Imperial Granulated Sugar
1-teaspoon vanilla
8 slices bread

Instructions:
Beat together all ingredients, except for bread in a shallow flat bottom dish. Heat griddle to 400 degrees F. Dip bread one slice at a time in egg mixture, place on hot grill. Grill on one side about 2 minutes than turnover and cook other side. Serve with butter and syrup or other topping of your choice.

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but it is really good and great for a crowd.
 
Texas Toast
1/2 stick of butter or cooking spray
6 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place cookie sheet with butter or cooking spray in preheated oven at 400 degrees. Dip toast in mixture of eggs, milk and vanilla and place on hot cookie sheet. Cook about 10 minutes and turn over. Cook a few more minutes until done. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. This is a great way for everyone to eat at once. Enjoy !
