“A [X] voting [Democrat/Republican] is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders” is a political saying that has been printed on many images. The KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) fast food restaurant chain was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders (1890-1980). A chicken would vote for Colonel Sanders because the chicken is fed and gets fat, but ultimately, this is against the chicken’s interests because it is going to be killed for KFC restaurants.
