“A guy walks into a bar...” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A boomerang version is:

“A boomerang walks into a bar. The bartender says, ‘Hey, I thought I threw you out of here!’”

“So a boomerang walks into a bar so a boomerang walks into a bar...” was cited on Twitter on June 12, 2011. “A boomerang walks into a bar and the bartender says ‘Ahhh I told you you would be back’” was cited on Twitter on March 26, 2013.

“A boomerang walks into a bar. The bartender says, ‘Hey, I thought I threw you out of here!’” was posted on Reddit on July 6, 2016.
