“A guy walks into a bar...” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A hyperbole version is:

“Hyperbole totally rips into this insane bar and absolutely destroys everything.”

“A hyperbole totally ripped into the bar and literally obliterated everything!” was posted on Facebook by Grammarly on July 28, 2012. “A hyperbole totally ripped into the bar and absolutely destroyed everything!” was posted on Twitter on July 28, 2012.

“Hyperbole totally rips into this insane bar and absolutely destroys everything” was posted on Language Matters on September 20, 2014. (This date may be incorrect.) However, the joke went viral in February 2018.
