“A guy walks into a bar...” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” However, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, pubs were closed. The joke was:

“A man doesn’t walk into a pub...”

“A man doesn’t walk into a pub . . .” was posted on Twitter by flyaspidistra (and many others) on March 22, 2020.

“A man doesn’t walk into a bar...,” “A man walks into a bar, lucky bastard,” “An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman don’t walk into a bar” and “An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar Those were the days” are related jokes.
