“A man takes his wife to get tested…” (joke)

A joke has it that a man send his wife to be tested, but the doctor’s didn’t know if it was for Covid-19 or for Alzheimer’s. The doctor then suggests, “I recommend you take her for a very long walk and leave her. If she comes home, don’t let her in.” (That is, if the wife doesn’t come home, she has Alzheimer’s. If she comes home, she has Covid-19.)

Yesterday we got a call from the lab, where they informed us that they had mixed up the results with another patient, and they were not sure whether my wife had #COVID19 or Alzheimer’s.
They suggested that I take her for a long walk. If she finds her way back, don’t let her in.

Doctor called, said my wifes tests got mixed up. Doesn’ know if she has covid or Alzheimers.
What can I do? I asked.
Take her for a long walk and leave her. If she turns up at the door don’t let her in.

A man takes his wife to get tested
Several days go by, and he receives a call from the doctor.

The doctor tells him, “Due to an unfortunate mixup with the lab, we are not sure of your wife has Covid-19 or Alzheimer’

The man, clearly frustrated, asks, “Well what am I supposed to do with that kind of information?”

The doctor calmly suggests, “I recommend you take her for a very long walk and leave her. If she comes home, don’t let her in.”
