“A teetotaler walks into a bar…” (bar joke)

“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A teetotaler is a person who doesn’t drink alcohol, but there are a few “A teetotaler walks into a bar” jokes.

One version, involving any beer that tastes like water, was posted on Twitter on October 29, 2013:

“A teetotaler walks into a bar. ‘Can I have a pint of Fosters, please?’”

Another version, involving literally walking into a bar, was posted on Reddit—Jokes on May 13, 2017:

“A teetotaler walks into a bar…  Bartender: See, if you’d been drunk, it wouldn’t have hurt as much.”
