“A termite walks into a bar and asks, ‘Is the bar tender here?’” (bar joke)

“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” One of the oldest and most popular of bar jokes is:

“A termite walks into a bar and asks, ‘Is the bar tender here?’”

The joke has been cited in print since the 1990s.

“What does a termite order at the restaurant?”/“A table for two!” is another termite joke.
