“A yawn is a silent scream for coffee” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many gift items, such as coffee mugs, T-shirts and posters. The saying has been popular on Twitter since July 6, 2011. Photos from July 2011 show that “A yawn is a silent scream for coffee” was printed on a sign displayed on a building in Boston, Massachusetts.
