“All our guests/visitors bring happiness. Some by coming, others by going” is a saying that has been printed on many images.
 
“EDWARD P. LYNCH, secretary of the ’Let’s Have Better Mottoes’ Association, announces that ’happiness’ is the theme for 1957. So, he reports, the monthly presidency of the association has been handed to C. A. McDonald for submitting this one: ’Everyone Here Brings Happiness—some by coming in, others by leaving’“ was printed in the Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette on January 14, 1957.
 
“All our visitors bring HAPPINESS. Some by COMING IN—others by LEAVING” was printed in the Muscatine (IA) Journal on February 4, 1957. “Perhaps such conduct inspired the little plaque we see in novelty stores: ’ALL OUR VISITORS BRING HAPPINESS: SOME BY COMING, OTHERS BY GOING’” was printed in the Rocky Mount (NC) Telegram on July 6, 1969.
