Amazon Washington Post (Washington Post nickname)

Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, Inc., bought the Washington (DC) Post newspaper in August 2013. “Fascinating how the Amazon-Washington Post jokes on Twitter seemed to go from hilarious to tired in about 5-10 minutes” was posted on Twitter by Jon Weisman on August 5, 2013. “Cue the ‘Amazon-Washington Post’ jokes” was posted on Twitter by Tyler Greenawalt slightly later the same day. “It’s only been 30 minutes since the news broke and I’ve already grown tired of the Amazon/Washington Post jokes. #sawitcoming” was posted on Twitter by Government Man a few minutes later.

“A new INTELLIGENCE LEAK from the Amazon Washington Post” was posted on Twitter on July 22, 2017, and “It’s hard to read the Failing New York Times or the Amazon Washington Post because every story/opinion, even if should be positive, is bad!” was posted on Twitter on July 23, 2017, both by U.S. President Donald Trump. “This column brought to you by the ‘Amazon Washington Post’” by Dana Milbank was posted in the Washington (DC) Post on July 25, 2017.

The publication you are now reading has a new name: The Amazon Washington Post.

The moniker was bestowed in recent days by President Trump, putting the newspaper in the company of the Failing New York Times, Li’l Marco Rubio, Lyin’ Ted Cruz, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, Crooked Hillary and Low- Energy Jeb.

Trump Is Right. It Is the Amazon Washington Post.
If Amazon didn’t exist, it’s unlikely the Washington Post would exist in its current form.

President Donald Trump’s insistence on calling the Washington Post the “Amazon Washington Post” riles the newspaper’s executive editor, Martin Baron, to no end. He wants one and all to know that the online retailer and the newspaper are distinct corporate entities.

The Amazon Washington Post has gone crazy against me ever since they lost the Internet Tax Case in the U.S. Supreme Court two months ago. Next up is the U.S. Post Office which they use, at a fraction of real cost, as their “delivery boy” for a BIG percentage of their packages….
