“Ask your doctor if medical advice from a television commercial is right for you”

“Ask your doctor if medical advice from a television commercial is right for you” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many images. Medical companies often advise to “ask your doctor” if their product is right for you.

“Ask your doctor if medical advice from a television commercial is right for you” was printed in The Times-News (Twin Falls, ID) on January 4, 2009. “Bumper Sticker: Ask Your Doctor if Medical Advice From a Television Commercial is Right for You” was posted on Twitter by Kids Music Planet on November 7, 2009. The saying probably originated on a bumper sticker (from stickerittotheman.net and peacemonger.org).

“Ask your doctor if a drug with 32 pages of side effects is right for you” is a related saying.
